"Who We Are"

The Cancer Resource Center of the Desert (CRCD) is the only non-profit community-based organization providing cancer Patient Navigation to persons in the Imperial Valley community.  The CRCD Patient Navigation program is a comprehensive service that has benefited cancer patients since September 2006. CRCD continually strives to improve the quality of service and has expanded its programs to meet the multiple and growing needs of the community. CRCD bridges the gaps in the fragmentation of cancer care that occurs when consumers are in emotional distress; do not understand their diagnosis or treatment plan; are unfamiliar with the cancer healthcare system; and are uninformed regarding their insurance coverage. CRCD’s innovative service ensures a positive effect on quality, cost, and satisfaction of the consumer and clinical team.
